Ready for the Road! The Before and After…

August 16, 2011

Hi everybody!
There may have been ample sweat, a little blood and perhaps even a tear or two, but it’s all worth it now, to see the Tin Gypsy all ready to roll. Here’s a little Before and After to give you an idea of the amount of work went into her rehabilitation and conversion to a mobile antique darkroom. We really need to thank many talented and generous people for donating their time and skills to the Project. A HUGE thanks to Joe, Mike, Lindsey, Maureen, Perla, Mikey, Ruby, Eric, Sarah, Glam and everybody else who pitched in to make this happen.

And, of course, another huge thank you to all the backers who kickstarted this project. We could not have done it without you! You are awesome!

Incredible what you have done. I have been working on a 1964 Shasta trailer and although it is a lot of hard work, it is very rewarding at the same time as I’m sure you know. I love the choice of wallpaper that you used….it looks as though you are stepping back in time.

Looking forward to seeing this in Astoria soon.

    Meghann:

I saw you drive by on Lombard, I was thinking to myself ” hey that looks likes the Tin Gypsy” . As I got closer I could see that it really was you, the trailer looks great and I trust you will have a grand adventure. Good luck!
